Evenstar Unicorn
As Evenstar runs dust kicks up from her hooves
And dances in a rainbow colour all about the golden air
Sparkling in the evenstar hour
Many wishes seem to flower
She tosses her mane and purest white
Dances upon winds with utmost delight
Glowing song guides her down her way
Following the winds of her heart she lays
A silver dust in her wake
It gleams upon your eye so sweet
An inner smile so does greet
Within this time magic finds
You stood upon it’s golden sound
Echoing evenstars songs and sounds
Forever ringing always found
Upon the leafy mossy ground
Look up she says and follow me
Skip with smiles leaps and glee
Prance and dance as stars do shine
The brightest dust you’ll ever find
Unicorns so rare and fair
Are visible only with the evenstar flare
Forever swirling to a soundless song
Heard inside a hummingbirds hum
Galloping always up above
Streaming with the utmost love
Look upon the silver dust
Evenstars song forever must
When you sing she’s here just trust.

First of all I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I’ve had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Thanks!

That is very kind of you! Well I’LL be honest, when the energy of the poem comes it literally just flows out… it’s like taking a walk and the words are the essence of what the heart of the poem is…. I would say I’m always in a place of peace and appreciation before I write and that way it just flows 🙂

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found
a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a
hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants
to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to
tell someone!
